Fans are both excited and confused about the coming "NCIS" Season 16 Episode 13, titled "She." The Sunday night's Super Bowl LIII's dropped the new episode's trailer and hinted the possible return of Agent Ziva David (Cote de Pablo).
Ziva has been away from the series since 2013, so her name's inclusion in "NCIS" Season 16 Episode 13 comes as a big surprise. The trailer also hints a very intense scene between Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Ellie when they find out something about the former agent.
The "NCIS" Season 16 Episode 13 trailer started with a shot of Ziva from the previous seasons. "You thought her story was over," the narrator said. "Now the biggest NCIS secret of all will be revealed."
Shocked can be seen on Gibbs, Ellie, and Nick's (Wilmer Valderrama) faces when they learned Ziva's secrets in "NCIS" Season 16 Episode 13. Ellie also panicked when she turns in the police archives and reveals it has something to do with their former colleague.
Later, Gibbs can be seen furious and tells Ellie that he doesn't want to know anything about Ziva in "NCIS" Season 16 Episode 13. It remains to be seen what discovery they find out about Cote de Pablo's character. However, "She" official synopsis teases the NCIS agents' new case has something to do with her.
"NCIS reopens an old missing person's case when a malnourished and confused 9-year-old girl - and possible daughter of a long-missing Navy recruit - is found hiding in a storage unit," "NCIS" Season 16 Episode 13's synopsis read, per TVLine. "In the course of investigating, Bishop discovers notes that Cote de Pablo's Special Agent Ziva David had kept, long after NCIS officially closed the cold case."
As Ziva's name has been dragged on the new case, will the agent return and help her former colleagues to solve the issue in "NCIS" Season 16 Episode 13? It is also a big question what makes Gibbs turn into a protective Papa Bear mode in the trailer?
Fans believe Ziva has died from a mortar attack. Trent Kort (David Dayan Fisher) even broke the news to her family and friends in "NCIS" Season 13. But, her remains have yet to be seen, so her death remains to be a big mystery. Hence, there is a great possibility that she will return to "NCIS" Season 16 Episode 13.
"NCIS" Season 16 Episode 13, titled "She," will be out on Tuesday, February 12. The episode has been delayed for a week to give way to US President Donald Trump's State of the Union Address.
