"True Detective" Season 3 Episode 6, titled "Hunters in the Dark," continues as Wayne Hays (Mahershala Ali) and Roland West (Stephen Dorff) try to solve the disappearance of Will (Phoenix Elkin) and Julie (Lena McCarthy). The new episode will be about tying loose ends and fans are about to see more drama from the two detectives.

"Wayne and Roland revisit discrepancies in the Purcell case that were hidden or forgotten over the years. Among those being re-evaluated is Tom Purcell (Scoot McNairy), as well as Lucy Purcell's cousin, Dan O'Brien (Michael Graziadei)," "True Detective" Season 3 Episode 6's official synopsis read, per CarterMatt. "The glitter of Amelia's (Carmen Ejogo) book release is tarnished by a voice from the past."

As the show is about to reach its end, the investigation will unfold in "True Detective" Season 3 Episode 6. Wayne and Roland's examination doesn't seem to follow the case's course, so they are going to back to revisit their old leads. The two investigators will look back to the past to try to solve the missing puzzle of the future.

After the release of "True Detective" Season 3 Episode 6, the show is only two episodes away from its ending. Since the series starts, fans can't help but cast their theories online about who is really behind the disappearance of the two Purcells.

According to Express.co.uk, there are theories Roland is part of the conspiracy. He has been working closely with Wayne for decades to solve the case, but fans think there is something behind their close connection. Will it be revealed in "True Detective" Season 3 Episode 6?

A Reddit user revealed Nic Pizzolatto seems to be making Roland's character "really likable and trustable" in "True Detective" Season 3. He is so good to be true that it is like he is trying to steer the investigation.

He first suggests finding a criminal with a pedophile background to solve the Purcell case. However, fans think Roland is only trying to find someone to put the blame on in "True Detective" Season 3.

Also, Wayne is the only one who can find every clue and theory in "True Detective" Season 3. He finds the Hoyt bag and wants to research Purcell's home. Although this move proves Wayne is a better detective, it can also be Roland's way to make sure Wayne will not solve the case.

"True Detective" Season 3 is only two episodes away after the release of Episode 6, titled "Hunters in the Dark," on Sunday, February 10, on HBO. In no time, fans will soon have the answers to their questions.
