"Dragon Ball Super" new "Galactic Patrol Prisoner" arc reveals its major connection with "Dragon Ball Z." With the introduction of the new villain Moro and his obsession with the Namekian Dragon Balls, it just opens a major callback to original anime series' "Namek Saga."

Moro has been eyeing to get his hands on the Namekian Dragon Balls. But as he has been locked up for 10 million years, he has an accomplice who helped him and told him about the Dragon Balls. His partner in crime is revealed to be Raspberry, who fans first met in "Dragon Ball Z: Namek Saga" arc in episode "Destination: Guru," per Comic Book.

Fans thought Raspberry was already dead, but it seemed like it was not the case. The accomplice only made his appearance in "Dragon Ball Z." They were part of Freeza Force soldiers sent to Namek to investigate the Dragon Balls in the place.

Raspberry's appearance in "Dragon Ball Super: Galactic Patrol Prisoner" arc confirmed he is still alive after the giant crab dragged him and his partner, Blueberry, into the sea. In his talk with Moro, he revealed he managed to escape Namek and left Freeza Force. From the looks of it, he continued with his bad ways as he ended up in the Galactic Patrol prison.

"Dragon Ball Super" has been dropping hints about the connection between Vegeta and Raspberry when they were still part of the Freeza Force. It could play a big part in the battle between Vegeta and Moro.

Aside from that "Dragon Ball Super: Galactic Patrol Prisoner" arc's connection to the "Dragon Ball Z: Namek Saga" arc runs deeper when Goku and Vegeta managed to arrive on New Namek before Moro does. The Saiyans and Nameks' reunion reveals Vegeta still feels the guilt of his involvement with the pain the Nameks' feel.

So, Vegeta aims to face Moro and take him down. However, things seem to be harder when Moro reveals his physical abilities are too much for Vegeta to take in "Dragon Ball Super: Galactic Patrol Prisoner" arc.

With these revelations and introductions, Akira Toriyama and Toyotaro effortlessly find a way to connect "Dragon Ball Super: Galactic Patrol Prisoner" arc to the major events from "Dragon Ball Z: Namek Saga" arc. So, fans should have to wait for the possible appearance of Freeza in the new storyline.

If ever it happens, there may be a battle between the Freeza Force and Galactic Patrol in "Dragon Ball Z: Galactic Patrol Prisoner" arc. Goku, Vegeta, Moro, and Freeza may all face each other while they are all trying to gather the Earth and Namekian Dragon Balls at the same time.
