Sword Art Online: Alicization is said to be the longest arc the anime has. Given its length, fans wonder how long the show will run or if its network will cut it in half and take a break. Its new schedule seems to imply its future and what lies ahead. But first, let's talk about the recently released Episode 18.

Sword Art Online: Alicization Episode 18 surprised everyone with its steamy theme. Eugeo had a private moment with Bercouli in a steamed onsen while Kirito and Alice shared steamed buns, per Manga.Tokyo.

Eugeo faced Bercouli Synthesis One. After he saw his Time Splitting sword, he came up with a plan to put him down. They both ended up getting trapped in an ice spell that slowly took their lives in Sword Art Online: Alicization Episode 18.

Eugeo knew he could outlive Bercouli in Sword Art Online: Alicization Episode 18. But when the spell was slowly taking effect, he realized Bercouli was the legendary knight who previously owned the Blue Rose sword. He was only deceived by the Administrator that turned him into an Integrity Knight.

When Eugeo was doing everything to make him understand that the Axiom Church tricked him, Prime Senator Chudelkin suddenly appeared in Sword Art Online: Alicization Episode 18. He made Bercoulli froze and captured Eugeo.

In other Sword Art Online: Alicization Episode 18 events, Kirito and Alice took a rest before they continued climbing the wall. While eating some steamed buns, Kirito talked about Alice's sister that eventually convinced her to take a sit and hear his story about her past.

Meanwhile, since Sword Art Online Season 3 started, fans wondered how long it would run as Alicization arc was one of its longest tales. According to Comic Book, there were reports the third season would be split into four courses, but a new schedule list confirmed there would be a break coming soon.

Sword Art Online: Alicization is said to be losing its timeslot on April 6. Its official website, Monogatari Series franchise, revealed Zoku Owarimonogatari & Monogatari Series Selection would be airing six select episodes starting on the said date, followed by Zoku Owarimonogatari on May 18 with another six episodes, taking the aforementioned anime series' schedule.

So from the looks of it, Sword Art Online: Alicization's second course will end before April 6 and may return after May 18 with its original timeslot. Although the franchise has yet to confirm if it will have four courses, it may surely go on a break.
