Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Hope, and Tetra Pack agreed on a joint venture, called Generation Hope, which is guided by a commitment that encourages consumers to support sustainable initiatives and to promote environmentally friendly options in doing their daily chores. The "Generation Hope" launched the "Hope in a Box" which is the first carton-packed drinking water for the Filipinos.

The social enterprise expanded its packaging portfolio through the 'Hope in a Box'. The collaboration also empowered their customers in making a positive contribution to the community because the whole profit from the sale of the 'Hope in a Box' will fund the construction of public school classrooms in the whole country.

The Cofee Bean & Tea Leaf is the first to sell the 'Hope in a Box' water to customers in the whole nation. the partnership gives an idea for other businesses to find alternatives to plastic bottles in selling their products. The 'Hope in a Box' water will support the Cofee Bean & Tea Leaf's sustainability goals which are directed towards helping their clients reduce their individual footprint.

The 'Hope in a Box' will come in Tetra Prisma® Aseptic which is an octagonal, prism-shaped carton. It is designed to be portable and handy to cater to the busy lifestyles of today's customers.

The Tetra Pak cartons are made of seventy-five percent paperboard which originated from Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified forests and other controlled sources. The FSC ®, an international NGO, promotes paperboards that are environmentally appropriate, beneficial to the society, and economically friendly which are fully recyclable and made into roofing sheets, panel boards, school benches, and other paper-based products.

'Hope in a Box' is the first carton-packed drinking water in the country and it serves as a step forward towards drinking water in sustainability packaging. The product was launched during a Christmas Sustainability Fair at the SM Aura Sky Park on December 9. The fair offers green initiatives and it encourages visitors to participate in special workshops of different earth-friendly activities including upcycling, urban gardening and seed segregation.

The partnership of the three brands will continue until 2019 as they hope to gain momentum in helping make sustainable choices for the Filipinos. Used beverage cartoons can be dropped at selected The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf stores for recycling. The product is now available in all Cofee Bean Tea & Leaf Branches nationwide.
