After an exciting run last summer, TNT has finally released a new teaser to Claws season 3. It looks like Desna (played by Niecy Nash) has her nails real sharp and ready as she declares she's going for "world domination."
The clip for Claws season 3 has Desna motivating her crew as they prepare to take over Florida. This merry band of money launderers have higher stakes this season as it looks like they've got some really mean and shady characters to beat.
But Desna tells her girls she's not worried. If the men they have to do business with are dirty, then she's prepared to get dirtier.
Claws season 2, which aired in the summer of 2018, introduced some new players with the opening of a new casino near Desna's nail salon. With these high-rollers came goons and with the goons came the gun.
So, the season finale left viewers in shock as one of the goons shot Virginia (played Karreuche Tran). It will be a couple more weeks before viewers of Claws season 3 find out if Virginia survived the shooting. But according to TV Guide, it's likely that the character pulls through since things aren't always how they appear to be on Claws.
Meanwhile, Tran has been keeping quiet about her participation in Claws season 3. When asked to comment on her character's return, the actress wouldn't want to give out any spoilers. She did tell Mack Entertainment that it was crazy to see herself get shot.
Another question that viewers need to find out when Claws season 3 returns is who ordered the hit on Virginia? Was she actually the target or where the gunmen aiming for Desna who was with Virginia at that time?
TNT renewed Claws season 3 last July after the show improved its ratings in the key demographic, as per The Hollywood Reporter. Nash was partying in Cancun when she received word that the crime drama was going to return.
Claws features five manicurists from who have learned to navigate the world of organized crime. While traditionally dominated by men, Desna's crew felt that being women puts them at an advantage and they ladies do use their supposed weakness to gain with the guys.
Aside from Nash and Tran, Claws also stars Carrie Preston (Polly Marks), Judy Reyes (Quiet Ann), Harold Perrineau (Dean Simms), Jenn Lyon (Jennifer), Jack Kesy (Roller Husser) and Kevin Rankin (Bruce Husser). The show is produced by Rashida Jones and Will McCormarck.
