Power season 6 is still up in the air, but the cast and crew of the series have been teasing fans about the possible events that might occur on the sixth season. The showrunner of the series said that "no one is safe" on the upcoming installment, which likely hints a major death among characters.

The filming of Power season 6 might be taking a few more months to finish, according to the EconoTimes. Previously, showrunner Courtney Kemp revealed they are already doing a table read for the episode 8 of the sixth season, which happened a few weeks ago. Thus, it possible the cast and crew have already filmed some of the biggest happenings on the next season.

Kemp also said that the eighth episode would be the real finale of each season, she confirmed it when asked by Kanan (50 Cent) died in season 5 episode 8. The showrunner shared that they've always considered episode 8 as the season finale, and then it will be followed by two more episodes so that viewers will think about what the characters would do next.

As for Power season 6, Kemp said "no one is safe" shortly after Kanan was killed in an ambush. So, it's very likely that the showrunner is foreshadowing another major death among characters in the next season. In season 5, Ghost (Omari Hardwick) and Angela (Lela Loren) met to clear things up between them but eventually broke up.

Little did they know, Tommy (Joseph Sikora) was also at the same building ready to assassinate Ghost, but Angela caught the bullet and was shot in the chest. Kemp made sure that Loren will still appear in Power season 6, although she didn't reveal what she's doing.

Meanwhile, some fans think Power season 6 would be the series' last since, Kemp originally planned to run the show for five years. In the finale of the fifth season, she refused to confirm whether the series will be ending in 2019 or not. She just said that the show is ending, but isn't sure when. Also, STARZ also requests to extend the series, so Kemp was happy to oblige and revealed she knows where the story was heading.

STARZ did not yet announce the release date of Power season 6, and there's no news about its production. But since the show usually starts in June or July, the upcoming season might be dropping sometime in June or July 2019.
