German race ace Michael Schumacher has yet to be seen by his fans and the public after he suffered from a huge accident in 2013. However, various news outlets reported his sightings when he was seen flying by helicopter to celebrate his 50th birthday.

It can be remembered that Michael Schumacher, a considered F1 legend, turned upside down in December 2013. He experienced a skiing accident that resulted in him getting severely injured.

People are still waiting for Michael Schumacher to make a public appearance after that tragic incident but to no avail. However, he was seen by media outlets with his family traveling to a Spanish island.

Michael Schumacher was said to be boarding a specially adapted Bell 429 Global Ranger equipped for patient transport. The helicopter was said to be going to Port d'Andratx in Mallorca, Spain.

According to GP Fans, Michael Schumacher and his family traveled to Mallorca to spend the holiday last year. They extended their vacation there to celebrate his 50th birthday on Jan. 3.

So far, Michael Schumacher's family has yet to confirm the reports. If it's true, then it could mean that he is already making a significant recovery ever since attaining wounds from the skiing accident.

Health experts also said that the mild Mediterranean climate could help Michael Schumacher's rehabilitation. This is especially the fact that he has been living in a cold Swiss area.

Michael Schumacher's family previously announced that they would like to keep all details about his health a private matter. They, however, released a rare statement for his 50th birthday about his condition and said he is in the very best of hands they are doing the best they can to help him.

The Daily Express also said in an article that Michael Schumacher and his family flew from the residence in Gland, Switzerland last December 20 to their vacation home in Port d'Andratx. They were previously rumored by news outlets that already permanently moved in Mallorca.

This is after the confirmation that Michael Schumacher bought a Mallorca-based property that costs €30 million or about $34 million. However, the F1 icon's manager Sabine Kehm refuted these speculations and said the family does not have plans to move to Mallorca so far.

Since his retirement in 2006, Michael Schumacher is still regarded as one of the best drivers in the history of professional car racing. He won seven F1 World Championships and 91 Grand Prix victories. F1 said that he is the greatest driver the sports has ever seen in terms of statistics.
