The luxury communications group PRCO expanded into Asia. The London-based, luxury-integrated communications group opened new offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai. These will operate under the banner of PRCO Asia, PR Week reported.
PRCO has just announced its entry into Asia with new offices. Al Press also clarified Gary Yu, who was GHC Asia's head when it expanded into China, was tapped to oversee PRCO Asia's transition into the region, as well. As head of the division, Yu will supervise the delivery of 'integrated communications solutions to different companies. These companies are preferably into the industries of travel, real estate, and luxury lifestyle.
PRCO Asia will also touch base with One Wall Street, Chelsea Barracks, and McArthurGlen, all preferred clients of the said company. Robert Lyle, the group chairman of the company, noted that they had long been into the Asian region, working with companies in the area through 'associate offices.'
The opening of the Asian branch is truly a milestone for them, according to the executive. He added that it would enable the firm to get involved in client companies within the world's most active region, and give them an avenue with which to provide their entire portfolio of services to different clients in 8 markets across the region.
The Asian move also marks more direct involvement with other regional offices. PRCO already has more than 100 staff working across different offices. There are offices in Europe (Londo, Paris, Munich, Milan), Central Asia (Moscow), the Middle East (Dubai), and now, in the Asian region itself (Hong Kong and Shanghai).
The UK branch of PRCO had certainly been busy in recent times, where it was tapped to handle public relations for the Rocco Forte group of hotels. The Rocco Forte group already has 11 hotels under its name and resorts in select destinations. A further five hotels had been planned, with PRCO to cover the public relations releases when the hotels open.
PRCO's involvement with the Rocco Forte group isn't pure coincidence. The new openings will include the Masseria Torre Maizza (Puglia), the Hotel de La Ville (Rome), and the Westbund Hotel (Shanghai). All of these hotels are said to be en route to opening this year.
With its offices already established in Shanghai and Hong Kong, PRCO can handle the opening of the Westbund Hotel with ease. Furthermore, it can enlist many other clients who can definitely use the PR company's expertise.
