Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez' whirlwind romance and engagement do stun not only the public and fans but also her closest friends. Now, her friends reportedly want her to call off the engagement to the latter over cheating allegations.
According to National Enquirer, the 49-year-old actress and singer's closest friends vehemently disapproved of her relationship with the former baseball shortstop because they believed he has been cheating on her.
"[Jennifer Lopez] Her friends are baffled that she is the only one who can't see it, and are begging her to ditch him before he breaks her heart," an unnamed source told National Enquirer, as quoted by Gossip Cop.
This comes shortly after retired MLB player José Canseco Capas Jr. accused Alex Rodriguez of cheating Jennifer Lopez with his ex-wife, Jessica Canseco. In a series of Twitter post, the former claimed to have been with Jessica Canseco when she suddenly received a call from Alex Rodriguez.
José Canseco Capas Jr., then, tweeted his number just in case the Maid in Manhattan star wants to know the "truth." He also challenged Alex Rodriguez to a boxing match or mixed martial arts (MMA) fight.
Not long after it made noise online, Jessica Canseco immediately debunked the allegations and stressed that the tweets were false accusations. She and Alex Rodriguez are just good friends, contrary to what José Canseco Capas Jr. is claiming. She has also not seen Alex Rodriguez for more than five years.
Similarly, a source close to Jennifer Lopez (via Gossip Cop) also stressed that there is no truth to National Enquirer's article. Her closest friends and family are ecstatic about her engagement to Alex Rodriguez. They also cannot wait to see them tie the knot.
It can be recalled that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez announced their engagement on March 10 after two years of dating. Before the former baseball shortstop, the World of Dance judge has been married to actor and singer Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014. They share 11-year-old twins, Maximilian David Muñiz and Emme Maribel Muñiz.
Alex Rodriguez, on the other hand, shares two daughters - 14-year-old Natasha Alexander and 10-year-old Ella Alexander - with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis. He was also previously romantically linked to singer and songwriter, Madona Louise Ciccone; model Melissa Britos; television personality and talk show host, Bethenny Frankel; actress and producer, Cameron Michelle Diaz, and actress Kate Garry Hudson.
