It looks like the public and fans of The End of the F***ing World will not have to wait too long to find out what really happens to James (Alex Lawther) as it has recently been revealed that filming for Season 2 is now underway.

The exciting news came to light when Netflix's See What's Next Twitter account posted a photo of the 2x01 script along with a confirmation message that production has officially begun on The End of the F***ing World Season 2.

While an exact release date has not been confirmed yet, the public and fans should expect The End of the F***ing World Season 2 to premiere in late October or early November based on the previous season's air date.

It is worth noting that the dark comedy-drama's first season began filming in April 2017 and premiered on Oct. 24, 2017. As for the plot, The End of the F***ing World Season 2 will further delve into James (Alex Lawther) and Alyssa's (Jessica Barden) story.

"For me, it's about James and Alyssa and I think that's what people have connected with," series creator and writer Charlie Covell said in an interview with Collider. "[The End of the F***ing World ] Season 2 would have to involve James and Alyssa somehow I just love the world of them out there on the road, doing something in a weird world. So for me, any story that we expand keeps them out there somewhere," she added.

The End of the F***ing World Season 2 will also see the return of Wunmi Mosaku as DC Teri Darego, Gemma Whelan as DC Eunice Noon, Barry Ward as Leslie Foley, Navin Chowdhry as Tony, Steve Oram as Phil, and Christine Bottomley as Gwen. However, it remains unseen if Kierston Wareing, Zerina Imsirovic, Geoff Bell, Kelly Harrison, Alex Sawyer, Matt King, Jonathan Aris, Leon Annor, Eileen Davies, Alex Beckett, Earl Cave, and Felicity Montagu will make appearances.

Ed Macdonald, Covell Murray Ferguson, Dominic Buchanan, Andy Baker, and Jonathan Entwistle will, once again, executive produce The End of the F***ing World Season 2 with Dominic Buchanan Productions and Clerkenwell Films producing.

The End of the F***ing World will soon return for Season 2 on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, and online streaming giant, Netflix, in other regions. Be sure to stay tuned to Business Times for more spoilers, predictions, news and updates.
