Netflix has yet to announce the coming of Ghoul Season 2, but a lot of fans have been waiting for its return. The miniseries ended with a major cliffhanger. Thus, viewers are still hoping to see its continuation.

Ghoul Season 1 hit Netflix in August 2018. The show only had three episodes, which ran for 45 minutes each. Thus, fans could easily finish it in a day. Since then, the waiting game for Ghoul Season 2 has begun.

According to Express.co.uk, the Ghoul was originally meant to be connected to a horror film produced back in 2016. But, Netflix commissioned the movie to be a three-part miniseries. Some parts of it were re-edited, re-filmed, and new scenes were also added to make it scarier.

So, it will be up to the director and writer Patrick Graham on what he will do to Ghoul Season 2 if ever the show gets renewed. Although Netflix has yet to order for a new set of episodes, there is a big chance that Nida Rahim's (Radhika Apte) story will continue.

The previous season finale showed Nida was asked if she would like to take the entire state to court. As the question remained unanswered, it could be explored on Ghoul Season 2. She also got bitten by the ghoul, but she didn't die like the others. So, the new season could explain what would be its effect on her, if there was any.

Nida also managed to escape the detention center with Ahmed (Muzaffar Khan). When the final episode ended, Dacunha (Manav Kaul) seemed to be also bitten by the Ghoul. But when he came out of the building, Nida shot him dead, which resulted in allegations that she was a terrorist for murdering a chief officer.

In the final moment, blood was pouring from Nida's mouth as she was sitting in her cell. She then took an object and cut her hand the same way her father did. As there were questions if she was also summoning the ghoul, would it get explored on Ghoul Season 2?

Bustle reported that since Ghoul was meant to be a movie, Season 1 could be standalone. In an interview with Graham, he revealed Netflix asked to beef up "certain sequences" and put on a major cliffhanger. The streaming service has been fond of including major cliffhangers, whether it has or no plans to do Ghoul Season 2. However, it could also be a way that the platform could continue the horror miniseries' story.
