The controversies surrounding Seungri are continuously widening. Thus, YG Entertainment and other major networks are now keeping their distance from the K-pop star. The 28-year-old star is facing new cases as emerging details revealed he procured prostitution in other places and embezzled funds from the Burning Sun.

According to Ilyo Shinmum, via The Jakarta Post, Seungri's acquaintance testified in a police investigation that the former Big Bang member "procured prostitution" in other locations aside from Korea. After two rounds of questioning on March 25 and 28, the witness revealed it happened at the celebration of his birthday party in the Philippines and Club Arena in Seoul in 2017.

At the time, Seungri visited the Philippines for business, while he was at the Club Arena to treat his investors. He also allegedly "procured prostitution at other places."

The said acquaintance was the one who was in charge of managing the women for Seungri's events. He paid the girls 4 million won ($3,518) each for overseas trips, and an additional 2 million won for tasks at local clubs.

"We have obtained meaningful testimonies, and the investigation has moved forward," the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency said about singer's case before the acquaintance's testimony was made. "We have also booked Seungri for distribution of illegally filmed videos."

Meanwhile, in a report by Joongang Ilbo, per Soompi, a police source revealed some Burning Sun funds were seen on different bank accounts under different names, and it all traced back to Seungri.

The authorities reportedly saw the suspicious accounts while investigating the flow of Burning Sun's capital. Since then, they started to investigate further. They have summoned five individuals, whose names were on the accounts and there were testimonies that each one was connected to Seungri.

Hence, the investigative authorities suspected Seungri and the Burning Sun management used the club's fund not for tax evasion, but personal use. The embezzled money was said to be worth tens of millions of won or tens of thousands of dollars.

"Though we can't reveal specifics on the matter, we have already completed review of legal precedent to prove these crimes," the police source said. Seungri's legal representatives, alternatively, disclosed that they still need to undergo questioning before giving an official statement.

Meanwhile, with all the things happening to Seungri, AllKpop reported YG Entertainment stopped selling merchandises that are related to the songwriter. Major networks also ended servicing "VOD contents" featuring the record producer.
