Dragon Ball Heroes and Super Dragon Ball Heroes are arcade games that are quite popular in Japan. Ever since its release that took place in 2010, the number of fans is apparently increasing. Unfortunately for other Dragon Ball fans, these digital card games developed by Dips are only available in the said Asian country. So, more or less, Japanese gamers are the only ones who were able to experience the wonders of these games.
Even so, new developments were made in the game earlier this year. And as it happened, it has been revealed by the developers that a new update of the game will arrive and it will now be available for countries outside Japan. This new update dramatically changed the algorithm, model, and dynamic of Dragon Ball Heroes. And instead of arriving with its original name, the new update is now called Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission.
Just like any recently released game, it is now made RPG. This actually makes sense though, considering that almost all games in recent years are now a role-playing type.
In Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission, the player will assume the role of Beat. A young one who lives in Hero Town and aspires to be the best in all worlds when it comes to playing the Super Dragon Ball Heroes card game. The player will consequently "follow" Beat's footsteps in becoming the champion. However, things will fall out of place as the antagonist in the plot appears in Hero Town.
Accordingly, Beat will jump into the "game world" and ask for the original Dragon Ball characters' help in restoring peace back to where he came from. These characters mainly include Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks. But aside from the main characters, BANDAI NAMCO revealed that there will be 350 more characters from the Dragon Ball franchise who will appear in the game. Alongside these roles, over a thousand cards are made available within the game.
Hence, it seemingly appears that the Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission is a game where Dragon Ball lovers and card battle fans meet.
BANDAI NAMCO launched the game on April 5, 2019. And there are two editions of Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission available for purchase. Players may choose either the Standard Edition or the Hero Edition that comes with five exclusive physical cards along with several early-unlock digital card games. These editions are for purchasing through various retailers. As for the platform, it is made available for both Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam.
