A funny rumor emerged about Julia Roberts almost a year ago. Tabloids reported that Hollywood's most famous superstar was pregnant with her fourth child at a remarkable age of 50 years old.
The rumors stated that Roberts wanted to have another baby to save her marriage with husband Danny Moder. Apparently, the Pretty Woman star planned on getting pregnant via IVF for a few years but the rumors suggested she struggled with her IVF. The stories when on to say that it was a miracle she bore a child at a delicate age for pregnancy.
But nine months have passed and Roberts is clearly not pregnant with a new baby. She's been walking the red carpets and going to Hollywood events without an obvious baby bump.
Gossip Cop was the first to report that the pregnancy rumors were not true. More so, the stories of the problems in Roberts' marriage were also made up by the tabloids to drive up sales.
The news outlet also stated that despite the false reports, the tabloids have not published any retraction or apology about Roberts' alleged pregnancy. If anything, these tabloids continue to publish unverified and fabricated reports.
Roberts once said in an interview with Harper's Bazaar that she's content and happy in her personal life thus belying that there her marriage is on the rocks. The actress has been married to Moder since 2002 and they have three children together.
The twins -- Hazel and Phinnaeus -- are now teenagers. Their youngest son Henry, on the other hand, is in middle school.
The Notting Hill star also shared in an interview with The Sun that they have regular family meetings with the kids. She doesn't allow her children to be exposed to too much media.
"I try to keep them off social media because I don't really understand what they need that for right now," the superstar mom said. "I have three young children so I'm very careful about turning the TV on."
Roberts also acknowledged her husband's presence in her life and their children's lives. Calling him her perfect match, the Oscar-winning actress said that meeting and marrying Moder has been a turning point for her since he's the one who always keeps her grounded.
Moder also works in the same industry as Roberts. As a cinematographer, however, Moder is a lot less affected by the fame that stars experience.
Meanwhile, the actress is currently busy making the press rounds for her latest movie Ben is Back, where she plays the mother of a young man (played by Lucas Hedges) recovering from addiction. The film was directed and written by Peter Hedges.
