Avid viewers of this popular American post-apocalyptic science fiction drama television series are excited about its imminent brand-new installment. The CW has kept mum about the details of the forthcoming sixth season, which pushed fans to create theories and predictions about the future of the show. So, what should we expect in the upcoming The 100 Season 6?

The sixth season of the famous show is expected to pick up where Season 5 left off. However, devoted followers of the series should expect new adventures, a new planet and new characters in The 100 Season 6. Its mysterious plotline is another reason for fans to watch out of the new installment's premiere.

Recent reports suggested that the first episode of The 100 Season 6 would center on a small group of people sightseeing a cagy new planet. Series main characters Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor), Abigail Griffin (Paige Turco), Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley), Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos), Raven Reyes (Lindsey Morgan), John Murphy (Richard Harmon), Echo (Tasya Teles), and Jordan Green (Shannon Kook) would face the consequences of their choices as they gather around in the Mothership. Because, of this, speculations are rife that the upcoming new season would also feature more drama-packed scenes as the relationship between the characters would be tested.

Besides the main characters, another recurring cast would be present in the up-and-coming The 100 Season 6. JR Bourne is said to return as Russel in the series' sixth installment to, again, portray the role of a "charismatic" and "visionary" leader who would face tough moral choices.  Russel and Clarke would, also, be having a complicated relationship in the imminent season as the former tries to keep the peace and order in their chaotic world. It remains to be seen, however, if the pair would end up each other before the new season ends.

The CW has not yet announced if The 100 Season 6 is going to be the series' last and final installment. However, fans think that there are still a lot of stories to be told and angles to be explored. Hence, avid followers of the show should take the cancelation rumors lightly until everything is proven true and correct.

The pilot episode of the series' sixth installment is "Sanctum." Ed Fraiman directed the first episode while Jason Rothenberg wrote its storyline. Episode 1 is expected to premiere on Tuesday, April 30, on The CW channel. Stay tuned to Business Times for more The 100 spoilers, predictions, news, and updates.
