There are strong speculations that Meghan Markle may have already given birth to her first-born child with Prince Harry. After Buckingham Palace issued an official confirmation on the Duchess of Sussex's birthing plans, some have speculated that Markle may have had a child in private.
According to the official statement, Markle and Prince Harry have opted to celebrate the birth of the baby "privately as a new family." They are not telling the public where Markle is giving birth, and they will not announce the child's arrival immediately with a public photocall, unlike with the birth of Prince William and Kate Middleton's three children.
Some royal watchers took this confirmation, especially the last particular phrase, as a sign that the baby has already been born, but the Royals aren't ready to announce the details. However, it's still gonna be a real waiting game since House Sussex will not be revealing the actual details anytime soon.
Markle officially had her maternity leave last March 20, according to Express. Though her exact due date was unclear, it was speculated that she would give birth during the tail-end of April.
But there have also been other clues that the former actress may have already birthed the baby. Her close friend Daniel Martin, who is one of the baby's godfathers, arrived in London a few days ago.
Meanwhile, reports also said that Markle intends to have a water birth for this pregnancy and that a female doctor will be on the deck to oversee that she has a safe delivery. She wants this birth to be natural as much as possible.
To prepare for this process, Markle is said to be doing yoga and meditation, as per Daily Mail. However, since she's 37 years old, Markle has also listed the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as an option.
Home births are nothing new to the Royals. Queen Elizabeth gave birth to her four children at the Buckingham Palace and Clarence House when the palace was under renovations once.
However, those in the direct line as heirs to the throne, such as Prince William and his children, were born at the prestigious Lindo Wing in London. Prince William was shown off to the public the next day of his birth, while his children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Princess Louis were also presented to the public hours after Middleton had her labor and delivery.
Meanwhile, the Sussex baby will be the seventh in line to the throne, after Prince Harry. The baby's name will not be styled with HRH (His or Her Royal Highness).
