Something really strange has happened to Cressida (played by Lorraine Toussaint) in Into the Badlands season 3. The upcoming episode, which airs on Monday, April 29, on AMC, may reveal the effects of what she has done to herself.
Cressida has a huge revelation in Into the Badlands season 3 episode 15, as per the episode synopsis. It may have something to do with the strange Gift she acquired in the previous episode.
Viewers may recall that Cressida used a spell on herself to gain a Gift that she wasn't supposed to have, as per Screen Rant. Pilgrim doesn't know of Cressida's new ability and the very fact that she was able to gain access to this puts their ties together into question.
But will Cressida's action be her downfall or will this make her even stronger since she has yet to discover more from this Gift? There are a lot of questions surrounding what Cressida has done, and hopefully, Into the Badlands season 3 episode 15 will have enough time to explore all of it given that it's the penultimate episode.
However, it's also possible that Cressida's disturbing revelation may have something to do with The Widow (played by Emily Beecham). As seen in the previous episode, Cressida learned that there's a growing life inside The Widow's belly. It's still unclear who is the father of the baby or when this child was conceived. Is it possible it's Gaius and does Cressida know more about this pregnancy?
Speaking of Gaius (played by Lewis Tan), Into the Badland season 3 episode 15 will unite him, Bajie (played by Nick Frost) and Sunny (played by Danny Wu) to fight against Pilgrim (played by Babou Ceesay). Eugenia Yuan (as Kannin) told SyFy Wire why this battle needed to happen.
"Under the greater cause are the people that Kannin cares so much about," Yuan said. "All of us - the Widow, Gaius, all of us - we need to fight for this greater cause because we have to fight Pilgrim, the one who is our ultimate challenge, the person we are putting all the other stuff down for to fight and unite against. He is the person who is most dangerous."
Into the Badlands season 3 airs every Monday at 10:00 p.m. on AMC. Following episode 15, the show will air its final episode on May 6.
