Reports about Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle's alleged feud sparked following the Suits actress' wedding with Prince Harry in May 2018. Rumors have it that Kate and Prince William were not pleased after the newly-wed couple took the spotlight from them. It was even claimed that Meghan made Kate cry over an argument during the wedding ceremony.
The feud rumors continue to hound the Duchess of Cambridge and Sussex after it was announced that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are moving out of the Kensington Place. While royal expert Leslie Carroll does not think that Meghan and Kate Middleton are feuding, she said that it would not come as a surprise if the two royal women may clash sometimes.
"They seem to get along very well as professionals, as two duchesses who are going to be working together on charitable things. But they do have very different," Leslie told Fox News. The royal expert added that Kate Middleton is "very quiet and reserved" and that she is going to inherit the throne one day. Majesty Magazine editor-in-chief Ingrid Seward claimed that things started to get sour between Prince William's wife and Meghan Markle after the former failed to give the attention that Prince Harry's wife needed after getting into the royal family.
"It's very different for her to suddenly come here and marry into the royal family. It's very, very difficult," Ingrid stated in her My Husband and I book. "I think Meghan thought she had an ally in Kate. But everything happened so quickly," she added. Adding fuel to the fire are the reports saying that Prince William wants Meghan Markle and Prince Harry away from him and Kate Middleton.
Reports have it that Prince William wants his brother and sister-in-law to move overseas to make sure that he and Kate Middleton stay in the limelight. It is claiming that the Kensington Palace could send Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in Canada or Australia. Harry and Meghan have, also, considered working in Africa.
While there could be some truth in these feud rumors, it is important to note that neither Kate Middleton nor Meghan Markle has confirmed anything as of yet. Therefore, avid followers of Prince William and Prince Harry's wives should take these unverified claims lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
