Schitt's Creek Season 6 will be the final bow of the father-and-son, Eugene and Dan Levy, duo's comedy series. As the show is now in development, what fans can expect on its final outing?

Alexis' (Annie Murphy) decision to stay behind may take its toll on her in Schitt's Creek Season 6 after her brother's plans and mom's latest difficulty. Johnny (Eugene) has been giving clues that leaving the family will be harder for Alexis that she first thought, per Screen Rant.

Schitt's Creek Season 6 may also put its focus on David's (Dan) upcoming wedding. Hence, he may need his sister now more than ever to help him plan for his nuptials, along with a PR professional.

Moira (Catherine O'Hara) will also need help in Schitt's Creek Season 6 as she will mark her comeback in the entertainment industry with the release of her new movie. She may be the one who needs the advice she gave to Stevie (Emily Hampshire) about deciding on the future she wants.

In an interview with Eugene and Dan, via Deadline, the two remained tight-lipped on giving any spoilers about Schitt's Creek Season 6. "Turns out it was all a dream," the older Levy said, which might prove that there would be an interesting twist in the finale.

Dan then assured that they worked hard to give both the characters and fans the proper ending they needed and deserved that would tie all the loose ends in Schitt's Creek Season 6. "You want to give the characters everything they want, and you also want to give the fans everything they want," he said.

So in Schitt's Creek Season 6, Dan teased they would reach the two expectations. As the show also delved into emotional moments aside from their banters, he also hinted there would be more "slightly darker" scenes. There would be humor, tears, and joy in every sequence.

Meanwhile, Dan earlier announced Schitt's Creek Season 6 would be the show's final outing. But, they would surely end things on their own terms. He expressed his gratefulness for being given the time and freedom to tell a complete story with a final chapter that they already envisioned from the start.

Dan announced Schitt's Creek Season 6 would be out in 2020 and would have 14 episodes. However, the 35-year-old star, who is also the show's producer and co-creator along with his father Eugene, didn't give the series' exact release date. But, there are theories it will be unveiled in January, the same month its previous seasons premiered.
