Imposters is a Bravo dark comedy series that first premiered on February 2017. Not long after, the series received its renewal for a second season which arrived on the network a year after. However, the whole fandom of the show was surprised when Bravo announced that Imposters Season 3 is not happening. As it happens, the show got canceled due to the apparent decline of viewership ratings.

Imposters Season 1 has been named as one of the fastest growing titles due to the increasing volume of viewers per episode. With a total of almost 1.4 million viewers per episode, the series has shown promising viewership records. Unfortunately, Imposters Season 2 did not receive the same accounts.

According to TV Series Finale, there is an apparent decline of viewership ratings when the second season premiered. For more than 50% of decrease, it is only somehow fitting that series got canceled by its network, Bravo.

But even so, there are also speculations that this is not the only reason why Imposters Season 3 was not ordered. Fansided Hidden Remote claims that the series has become one of the most underrated series on television. Plus, its cancellation is even unfair. But they have concluded that this decision might have been influenced as well by Bravo's current movements when it comes to their scripted materials.

The outlet has revealed that Bravo has wanted to get rid of all their scripted titles. They want to step away from scripted shows. And as it happened, Imposters was one of the two scripted shows that they have as next to Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce.

But while many fans and viewers are still debating the reason for its cancellation, the decision of networks remains to be the same. And that is Imposters Season 3 is confirmed to be still canceled.

The series creators themselves thought of this decision as a realistic one. In an interview with TV Line, it has been revealed that they got disappointed, but it is just realistic considering that the "economics of television" has become super complex in recent years, series creator, Paul Adelstein, explained.

Nevertheless, many of the fans are still looking forward to a network that would renew and order Imposters Season 3. And it seems that the possibility of Netflix taking control of the show is very likely just like what happened with FOX and NBC over Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

As of the time being, there are no confirmations yet if Netflix will truly commission an Imposters Season 3. Even so, the whole fandom is still positive that this will happen anytime soon.
