Just when everyone was losing hope in the Battle of Winterfell, Arya (Maisie Williams) saved the day by emerging out of nowhere to kill the Night King (Vladimir 'Furdo' Furdik). It seemed to be her destiny to kill the master and the first of the White Walkers, as told by Melisandre (Carice van Houten). However, it looks like the Army of the Dead's supreme leader is not the only that Arya is destined to kill in Game of Thrones Season 8.
When Melisandre entered the Winterfell in Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 3, she stared at Arya for a long while when she saw her on the battlement. Later, the trained Faceless Man entered a room with The Hound (Rory McCann) and the dying Beric Dondarion (Richard Dormer), only to meet the Red Woman again.
"You said I'd shut many eyes forever. You were right about that too," Arya said, per Harper's Bazaar. "Brown eyes, green eyes, and blue eyes," Melisandre responded.
The scene gave the nod to the time Arya and Melisandre first met in Season 3, leaving her with a prophecy. "I see darkness in you. And in that darkness, eyes staring back at me," the Red Priestess said. "Brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes. Eyes you'll shut forever. We will meet again."
The Night King had blue eyes, so it meant Arya was destined to kill him in Game of Thrones Season 8. The Waif (Faye Marsay) could also be a reference to the prophecy that she killed in Season 6.
So far, Arya already killed people with brown eyes, like Polliver (Andy Kellegher) and Ser Meryn Trant (Ian Beattie) and blue eyes with the Night King. Now, who among her enemies have green eyes? Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).
Melisandre's prophecy gives birth to the theory Arya is the one who will kill Cersei in Game of Thrones Season 8. It will not come as a surprise as the Queen of Seven Kingdoms has been on her list since her father died in Season 1. She is also involved in the unfortunate events that happened in the Stark family.
But, Cersei is not the only one who has green eyes. Her twin brother, Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), also has green eyes. So, there are assumptions Arya will kill the Kinslayer first in Game of Thrones Season 8, use his face to get near to his sister and kill her. This move also aligns with the other prophecy that Cersei will be killed by her younger brother.
According to Time, Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 trailer also hinted Arya and Cersei's connection. When Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) revealed her plan to "rip out, root, and stem" Cersei, it was the same thing Arya said when she wreaked havoc on House Frey.
"But you didn't slaughter every one of the Starks. No, no, no. That was your mistake. You should have ripped them all out, root and stem," Arya said in Season 6. "Leave one wolf alive, and the sheep are never safe."
From the looks of it, every word and move in the show are intentionally connected. So, it may be possible Daenerys will use Arya's ability to kill Cersei. Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 will be out on Sunday, May 5, at 9 p.m. on HBO.
