After a revelation of a big secret, the team has to be cautious of what they want in 9-1-1 Season 2 Episode 17, titled "Careful What You Wish For." A lot of things are about to happen once again in the lives of the fan-favorite rescuers. From a calamity of an explosion, there will be intense twist and turn of events that fans are going to witness.
"The first responders deal with a calamity at a chocolate factory; a mail bomb explosion," 9-1-1 Season 2 Episode 17 official synopsis read. "Eddie (Ryan Guzman) receives some surprising news from Shannon (Devin Kelley); Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) contemplates her future in the call center."
Before the events of 9-1-1 Season 2 Episode 17, Bobby (Peter Krause) and Athena's (Angela Bassett) relationship had been put to the test. The investigation into what happened before Bobby arrived in Los Angeles caught him in the middle, and its result was taking its toll on their romance, per CarterMatt.
The 9-1-1 Season 2, in general, is exploring the characters and what motivates them to be the people they are now. Earlier, Bobby questioned his faith due to the tragedies he saw at work every day. However, the show has yet to explore that storyline since he seems to be happy with Athena.
Unfortunately, Bobby and Athena's relationship was on the rocks after she learned what happened in Minnesota. The previous episode gave fans a chance to see what occurred after he left and came to LA. These things reportedly have something to do with 9-1-1 Season 2 Episode 17.
Viewers might feel weird that they would revisit Bobby's story after taking a break from his tale. But, it quite made sense because he seemed to be at a high point that something bad needed to happen.
Meanwhile, ahead of 9-1-1 Season 2 Episode 17's release and only one episode to offer, Fox already renewed the show for Season 3. Fans could expect everyone to be back after the current season ended on May 13.

The 9-1-1 Season 2 Episode 17, titled "Careful What You Wish For," will be out on Monday, May 6. On the other hand, Fox has yet to announce 9-1-1 Season 3 details.
