Queen Elizabeth visited Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at their newly renovated Frogmore Cottage home. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have given Her Majesty a royal tour of their new house.
Queen Elizabeth recently visited the soon-to-be parents and looked at their new home, which was reportedly given to the royal couple by the monarch. According to reports, the former staff residence has been transformed into a single-family home with five bedrooms. The visit of Her Majesty also comes ahead of the arrival of Baby Sussex.
Prince Harry and Markle's new home is said to be on the grounds of Windsor Castle, which is about 25 miles outside London. According to several palace insiders, the royal couple had been doing last-minute touches, such as custom kitchen and dining room, as well as bookcases built into alcoves. Prince Harry is reportedly planning to do "some entertaining" as well, like hunting parties.
Also, the Duke and Duchess' new home is reportedly one of the favorite royal residences of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. A former palace staffer revealed to PEOPLE that whenever Her Majesty is there on a Sunday afternoon, it is said to be a "five-minute walk up the hill for tea with Granny."
Aside from Queen Elizabeth, other royals who visited Prince Harry and Markle's new home include Prince William and Kate Middleton. Moreover, Markle's mother Doria Ragland paid a visit to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's new Frogmore Cottage home before the Easter holiday. She's making sure that she's nearby her daughter as the baby's due is getting closer.
Meanwhile, moving to Windsor is reportedly a healthy thing to do as the rigid constraints of Kensington Palace are said to be not for all. A "long time" friend of the royal family said it's nice to move out since there would be no neighbors who are either members of the royal family or staff, so this is better for Prince Harry and Markle since they have their own thing now.
In another report, many speculated Markle has already given birth to Baby Sussex. The rumors come following the recent visit of Queen Elizabeth at their new home. Some say it is possible Her Majesty isn't just checking out the Duke and Duchess' Frogmore Cottage home, but she wants to check the arrival of their new family member.
It can be noted couple told the public they wanted to keep the birth of their child private for a while. Thus, royal fans need to wait until the official announcement is made from the royal family.
