Chicago Med Season 4 is still on its two-week break. And once it returns, the series would then have a total of two remaining episodes before the current season finally concludes.
While the show is already renewed by its network, NBC, for a fifth season, together with its sister shows, Chicago Fire for its eighth season and Chicago P.D. for its seventh installment, this great news also comes with sad ones.
As it happens, Colin Donnel, who plays the role of Dr. Connor Rhodes, will already bid its farewell to the show once the current season concludes. Along with Colin, his co-star, Norma Kuhling, who happens to play the role of Dr. Ava Bekker, also confirmed her imminent exit to the show.
This actually surprised the whole One Chicago fandom since their roles have become some of the most pleasing characters in the course of Chicago Med Season 4. But while their exits are already confirmed, it is certain that the plot of the current season will be largely affected.
As per Cartermatt, Dr. Connor Rhodes might start to think of leaving the town when Chicago Med Season 4 Episode 21 airs on television. As it appears, the official synopsis for this episode reveals that Connor will experience a "devastating loss."
Although there are no specific details given about this apparent loss, there are speculations that this event refers to the possible death of his father. This is one of the most obvious things that could refer to the mentioned loss since his father, Cornelius, was last seen to be subjected in an emergency procedure.
If this is going to be the case, then it's just fitting as to how Connor will finally exit the show. But if not, this devastating loss in the new episode will still play an integral role in his imminent exit to show.
As for Ava, there are no specific details has been given as well in terms of her exit. But, there is a huge chance that the upcoming episode will already set the tone for her departure as it is revealed in the synopsis that Connor will throw her grave accusations.
But of course, these are just mere speculations and predictions on how these two characters will go over a smooth exit. And surely, things will be much clearer when Chicago Med Season 4 premieres on May 8, on NBC.
