Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly considering buying a house in California. Reports reveal that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking into a property in Los Angeles, near the house of Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland.

A source disclosed to The Sun that it's not surprising for the prince and his wife to think about buying a house in Los Angeles because it is where Meghan grew up. She still has plenty of friends there, and she would love for her children to have the same experience as hers while growing up.

"Ultimately, she is a California girl and can breathe easier there," the source said. "Spending time there would also allow her some freedom and independence from both the Palace and the Press and more control over her life and the people around her."

However, the source also disclosed that this isn't an immediate need for the Sussex couple since they have recently completed the renovation of Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. Still, Harry and Meghan aren't discounting the home purchase in California.

Meghan and her mother also have a tight relationship so a visit Stateside once Baby Sussex is a lot older may be frequent. Currently, Ragland is staying at Frogmore Cottage to help Meghan with her newborn.

Meanwhile, CNN reported that betting about Baby Sussex among British bookmakers has been suspended. There have been strong speculations that the Duchess may have already given birth, but House Sussex has not yet made an official announcement.

The couple announced in early April that they would hold off telling the world about the birth of their baby since they would like to enjoy their private time as a family first. This is in direct contrast to the birth of the children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William, and Kate, who had photo opportunities with their babies just hours after their delivery.

Majority of the bettors believe that Harry and Meghan's first child is a girl. The name Ivy, Alice and Diana are leading the betting list for the baby's name. The top picks for boys' name, on the other hand, are James and Alexander.

Royal watchers think that Meghan gave birth on Friday, May 3, after Prince Harry announced the cancellation of his trip to Amsterdam. As per The Telegraph, the duke was originally scheduled for a two-day visit to The Hague and Amsterdam on May 8 and 9, but he will instead just be in the Invictus Games in the Netherlands.

The abrupt change in schedules seemed to suggest that the prince and his wife are now enjoying their private time with their newborn.
