WARNING: This article contains spoilers for Station 19 season 3. Read at your own risk.

The second season of Station 19 has just recently concluded, but the majority of the viewers are now preparing for the third installment. While there were a few details about it, reports claim there will be frequent crossovers between Station 19 season 3 and Grey's Anatomy.

In a report from Deadline, ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke hinted that fans could expect "crossover events" between Station 19 and Grey'ss Anatomy every week, and their goal is to reportedly create "a shared universe."

However, others think this might be a bad idea since viewers will only enjoy the crossovers unless they watch both shows. Also, this move could also affect some viewers watching in other parts of the world, especially since not every network airs Station 19.

But perhaps, ABC wants to promote the spinoff series that's why it planned to make a shared universe with the flagship series. The crossover would likely happen when a paramedic brings someone to the Grey Sloan who needs medical assistance. This move would benefit Station 19, particularly in getting the attention of Grey's Anatomy's fans.

The release date of Station 19 season 3 is not yet revealed, but it will reportedly premiere midseason. Reports say the series will be launched after the season 2 finale of A Million Little Things on ABC, so expect a late winter/early spring release schedule.

As for the plot, the third installment will reportedly start with what's going on with Travis Montgomery. The character was seen in handcuffs during the end of the second season, and it made some viewers concerned about his future. Also, the upcoming season is also a good opportunity to assess what's going on with Ben.

Of course, the relationship status of Andy and Sullivan will be further explored in Station 19 season 3, as lots of viewers are rooting for this couple. The two finally had their romantic moment at the end of the second season, yet it only lasted for a short time.

Sullivan told Andy he didn't want to be with her, which is something that he needs to explain in the next season. This is also a chance to dive deeper and to find out where their relationship will lead them in the future.

Meanwhile, Stacy McKee stepped down as showrunner, and Krista Vernoff is the new showrunner of Station 19 season 3.
