Big Bang is arguably one of the most successful groups in the K-pop world, which is why they are dubbed as the “Kings of K-pop.” Fans adore their songs and brotherhood, but Seungri’s troubles at the moment had to be faced by no one else but himself.
But before the scandal, Seungri appeared on JTBC’s Knowing Bros. and talked about a painting that Big Bang’s leader G-Dragon gave him. That clip has recently resurfaced due to the detailed contents of the painting.
Kang Ho Dong asked Seungri, “As a fellow member, is there anything special about G-Dragon?” To which he replied, G-Dragon is living in Jejudo these days. When I went to visit him, he suddenly told me he’d paint me something.”
Seungri then began to explain that G-Dragon painted multiple colors on a canvas then covered it all in black. The 30-year-old singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, entrepreneur, and fashion icon then told him, “You’re behind all the black. Always look into your own heart.”
While it didn’t mean much at the time, it could certainly serve as a reminder for Seungri amid the scandal that he is facing right now. The 28-year-old former singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur simply used the story on the show to describe how artistic and wise G-Dragon is in real-life, but it was definitely good advice.
It’s no secret that Seungri is feeling really down and disappointed in himself. Although G-Dragon’s explanation about the painting didn’t mean that the former Big Bang member should forget about his mistakes and move on, it’s just a quick reminder that beneath all his flaws, there’s a good person inside.
Meanwhile, Seungri is known for sharing everything about G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, and Daesung, including their secrets, that sometimes make the older members nervous. He even revealed that Big Bang doesn’t have the best flow and recalled one particular incident when Taeyang forgot his placement.
Although his revelations sounded like he outed his members, this trait of Seungri is something that the boys are already used to. And even though they most of the time are not happy about his revelations, they still love him as their youngest brother anyway.
But this time around, however, it was G-Dragon who cleverly shared something about Seungri. The Big Bang leader may probably be already concerned about his ways at the time, so he gave him that painting to remind him for who he really is.
