Avid followers of Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye have been rooting for a reunion after the City Hunter concluded his two-year mandatory military service last month. Min Ho and Shin Hye, undeniably, caught the hearts of many after their portray as Kim Tan and Cha Eun Sang in the 2013 hit drama series titled The Heirs. However, new reports suggested that the most-awaited reunion is not happening anytime soon.

Shortly after his discharge, Lee Min Ho's camp confirmed that the 31-year-old actor is, already, reviewing the projects. The former boyfriend of Suzy Bae, previously, stated that he would return with a "great" project after completing his duty as a public service officer in the South Korean military. On May 7, Hwa&Dam Pictures confirmed that Min Ho is reuniting with Kim Eun Sook for new series tentatively titled "The King: The Eternal Monarch."

For starters, Lee Min Ho and Kim Eun Sook, previously, worked together in The Heirs. "This is our second time working together after 'Heirs,'" the official Hwa&Dam's statement read. "This is because he is an actor we can trust. You can expect to see more mature and deeper acting from Lee Min Ho in 'The King: The Eternal Monarch,'" it went on.

"We believe that with Kim Go Eun's versatility as an actress, which she has shown in her various films and in her role in 'Goblin,' where she showed great depth as her character grew from a girl to a mature woman, she will be able to successfully take on the two different characters," the source further revealed about Lee Min Ho's newest leading lady.
