Teen Mom is all about drama — the more, the better. However, it seems that Jenelle Evans and David Eason’s scandal may be a little bit too much to handle even for the controversial show.
Kailyn Lowry is not happy with Jenelle’s recent drama, which involves her kids getting taken away from her home after her husband David shot and killed their dog. The Teen Mom 2 star thinks that the whole issue is negatively affecting the reputation of the MTV reality show.
Although Jenelle Evans And David Eason have no plans to continue appearing on Teen Mom 2, Kailyn feels the situation is still affecting fans of the show overall. The 27-year-old shared what she feels about the whole drama during an outing with Lindsie Chrisley in New York on May 18.
“I think that people did watch the show for Jenelle and I don’t think that that can’t be denied,” Kailyn admitted to TMZ. After denying to talk about Jenelle’s family, Kailyn went on to explain that she thinks that Jenelle’s current drama would not help, but would rather “hurt” the show.
“I think the drama is hurting the show and I think it’s unfortunate for those who have worked hard to kind of rebuild our reputation,” she said. Lindsie chimed in at that point. “There’s a difference between daily drama and drama that involves criminal activity,” she said. Kailyn nodded in agreement while adding, “and hurting living things.”
The mother-of-three also talked about how fans are approaching her to take in Jenelle and David’s two-year-old daughter Ensley to help keep her safe. She explained that she’s not considering it at this time, but she still wishes all of Jenelle and David’s children well.
The Jenelle Evans And David Eason scandal started a few weeks ago when her husband, David Eason, beat and killed her French bulldog puppy, Nugget, in front of the kids. He claimed he did it because Nugget snapped at Ensley. Jenelle seemed not to think this was too big of a deal because she was set on working things out with him just days after it happened, but her local sheriff's department disagreed.
The children were not returned to the couple, and now it could get even dicier for them in their effort to regain custody. A video, posted by TMZ, shows the pair left the courthouse and got into their SUV with what appears to be a handgun on the dashboard.
Just as the couple began to drive off, the object on the dash becomes visible. The object still looks very much like a pistol in screenshots at different angles.
