The premise of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker continues to be a major mystery although the first trailer for the highly anticipated sequel has finally been released. But is it possible that Darth Vader will be back and has plans to torment his grandson? A new leak may have revealed how the Sith Lord will return in Star Wars Episode 9.

The leak shares some details about how Kylo Ren's helmet will be fixed in Star Wars Episode 9. According to the report, the former Ben Solo and the Knight of Ren head for a "dark location" that happens to belong to a monkey-like creature. The "ape man" is the one who can fix the helmet.

Amazingly, it is beginning to sound like the helmet is one of the key elements in Kylo Ren's mission in The Rise of Skywalker. The report also mentions a device that will take Kylo and the Knights of Ren to their goals. However, that isn't the strange details that appear in the leak.

It is mentioned that the dark location or "creepy castle" features some ash which possibly means that it is set in Mustafar. Star Wars fans already know that the lava-filled planet is the location where Anakin Skywalker fought Obi-Wan Kenobi in the prequel trilogy. Additionally, it is where Darth Vader built his strange castle that appeared briefly in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

So does this mean that the "ape man" is the same creature that created Darth Vader's mask and is the only individual capable of reforging Kylo Ren's helmet in Star Wars Episode 9? There are speculations that Kylo's current mission is to bring back Vader. Unfortunately, his efforts may lead to Kylo being tormented by the fallen Sith Lord as Anakin might try to convince his grandson to turn away from the Dark Side.

This should be a good thing for the Light Side, but there's just one problem. It has just been confirmed that Emperor Sheev Palpatine will play a major role in Star Wars Episode 9 and it is highly unlikely that the villain will be easily defeated. Perhaps the real struggle for Kylo Ren is listening to his grandfather and still trying to continue on his path to the Dark Side. We'll have to wait for more details to find out what happens to Kylo Ren in The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is the official title of the upcoming film. It is currently scheduled for release on December 20.
