After last week's race in Vietnam, eight racers headed to Dubai and then later in Uganda for a double episode of The Amazing Race season 31, which aired on Wednesday, May 22, on CBS. The team tally now has four teams among The Amazing Race alums, three from the Big Brother show, and one from Survivor.
The teams were instructed to go to the Dubai Frame in The Amazing Race season 31 episode 5 and first to arrive in the area were Rachel and Elissa. However, they somehow managed to trail behind the other teams because their taxi took them to the wrong entryway, and it was downhill for this team from there.
By the next hour, some of the teams have already completed their tasks while Rachel and Elissa still tried to get some headway in The Amazing Race season 31 episode 5. It also didn't help that they were delayed at the detour when they failed to answer some questions in the tasks correctly.
At this point, Rachel and Elissa were dead last in The Amazing Race season 31 episode 5. It was pretty clear that they were on their way out of the race, but a miracle happened when Phil announced that this leg was a non-elimination round, as per Celeb Dirty Laundry.
It was time to pack up and head to Uganda in The Amazing Race season 31 episode 6. Victor and Nicole were leading the teams but, as with the last episode, Rachel and Elissa were still struggling.
Thankfully, Janelle and Britney were also stuck somewhere and have not started with their tasks in The Amazing Race season 31 episode 6. By the time they got into a Speedbump, the rest of the teams were almost done, including Rachel and Elissa.
Janelle started to cry out of frustration in The Amazing Race season 31 episode 6. They still pressed on and tried to finish the race even if it was pretty clear they were going to end up last.
Things, however, picked up a notch when they had to compete with Rachel and Elissa at the Road Block. But Rachel was tougher than Britney thus she and Janelle were essentially eliminated in The Amazing Race season 31 episode 6, as per Surviving Tribal.
The current team standings as of this last elimination: Tyler and Korey, Colin and Christie, Victor and Nicole, Chris and Bret, Becca and Floyd, Leo and Jamal, and Rachel and Elissa. Four teams remain from The Amazing Race cast and one from Survivor, while it's down to two teams for the Big Brother cast.
