Many fans are thrilled about the imminent return of Song Joong Ki in the television after several months of being away from the limelight. The husband of Song Hye Kyo's last appearance of TV was on the Man to Man show in 2018. Now, the Descendants of the Sun star is about to hit the small screens, once again, with a bang.
Song Joong Ki is set to appear as Eun Seon in tvN's forthcoming new series titled Arthdal Chronicles. The character of Song Hye Kyo's husband is considered as a foreigner in his own tribe since his mother is a human-being and his father is a Neanderthal. Because of this, Eun Som would experience discrimination in his own ethnic group and would be considered as an outcast of their community.
Despite this, Eun Seom is said to work hard to become the bravest warrior in Arthdal. There are even speculations saying that the Song Joong Ki's character would be the one to save his tribe from danger as he is known to be very protective of himself and his loved ones. However, things would not be easy for the character of Song Hye Kyo's better half as he would face various challenges and battles in the forthcoming Arthdal Chronicles series.
As a matter of fact, Song Joong Ki and Jang Dong Gun's characters would have an epic encounter in the series. For starters, Dong Gun would portray as Tae Gon, who is the son of tribal leader San Woong. Being the head of Arthdal's strongest armed forces, Tae Gon is considered a treat to the community as his hunger for power would cause him to fight against the powerful people in the state.
The most recent Arthdal Chronicles photos released online featured the first meeting of Eun Seom and Tae Gon. The character of Song Joong Ki watches Tae Gon from afar as the latter is being proclaimed as a hero of the state. While Jang Dong Gun's character receives jeers from the public, commoners surround Eun Seom.
Reports have it that Song Joong Ki and Jang Dong Gun have been working very hard to portray their characters effectively. As a matter of fact, an insider revealed that even if the husband of Song Hye Kyo and his co-star do not talk each other much, they were able to pull off every scene that involved their characters.
"This is an important scene in 'Arthdal Chronicles' where the bravest warrior in Arthdal, Tae Gon, and Eun Seom, a foreigner in Arthdal, encounter each other for the first time," an unnamed production staff stated about the most recent snaps of Song Joong Ki and Jang Don Gun's characters in the upcoming tvN series. "Please look forward to how the two completely opposite men and their fates unfold in the ancient civilization of Arthdal," the source went on.
