The much-awaited opening of Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge finally comes. As part of its preparation, the theme park revealed a new map to help visitors easily navigate the place to take advantage of their four-hour stay that the management imposed.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is the largest and most high-tech attraction at any Disney park. As a nod to the iconic movie franchise, fans can personally experience galactic ships, lightsabers, and taste the Blue Milk Luke Skywalker drank in the movie, per USA Today.
With its 14-acres vastness, the map will help guests find the three Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge entrances to get into the park. It even includes the rock-like tunnel visitors have to go through if they are from Fantasyland.
The new Disneyland map will also help guests find the Droid Depot, the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run ride, Savi's Workshop, and the original Star Wars cantina. These places will give visitors first-hand Star Wars experience by riding Han Solo's iconic starship and building their lightsaber, but it comes with a huge price.
According to Market Watch, a custom lightsaber costs $200 each. The custom droids, on the other hand, has a price of $99.
Food and drink inside Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is also costly. A regular cocktail at Oga's Cantina is price at $17, not yet including the souvenir mug. Single beer costs $12, while a flight of beers costs $75. Luke Skywalker's famous Blue and Green Milk drinks cost $8 each.
Guests can buy lunch and dinner meals at different quick-service restaurants for $13 to $20. A bottle of Coca-Cola costs $5.
To compensate, visitors can bring home one free souvenir - the cardboard coasters at Oga's Cantina. It is a single-use paperboard that guests can bring home. They can even ask for a new one of the one they get is a little waterlogged.
A single-day ticket to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge costs $129, and it needs advanced reservation until June 24. However, starting June 1 until September, the single-day ticket to Disneyland will have a base price of $149 for people age 10-years and older.
Guests only have four-hour window to roam around Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Once their allotted time is over, a Disney employee dressed as an Imperial stormtrooper soldier will escort them out. Guests who live without finishing their time are not allowed for re-entry.
