VH1 has yet to announce the coming of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 12, but it will surely hit the small screens. RuPaul herself is seen calling out drag queens, showgirls, and every girl who wants to join the new season in a video released by World of Wonder, the company producing the show.
"It is that time of the year again. Time for RuPaul's Drag Race Season 12 casting," Ru said in the video posted on YouTube in January. "If you are a showgirl, if you are a drag queen, if you are a girl with the cha-cha heels and a pussycat wig honey, you better get up on this show!"
Interested contenders were instructed go to RuPaul's Drag Race Season 12 casting application website, although it is now closed. Hence, a new set of drag queens are about to be seen on stage to slay the show with their high heels and colorful wigs.
If the casting call is anything to go by, then it can prove that RuPaul's Drag Race Season 12 is happening. The previous season just ended on May 30, so VH1 may still be waiting for the right time to announce the renewal.
However, Romper reported the network usually announces the renewal a few weeks before the new season airs. Season 11 aired on February 28, but VH1 announced it was coming on February 8, 20 days before the premiere episode hit the small screens.
Yvie Oddly may still be savoring her winning moment in Season 11 finale. Drag Race UK has also yet to be out, so people behind the show may still be busy tying all the loose ends before it announces the new season's coming.
According to Bustle, there is a strong chance 15 new drag queens will be introduced for RuPaul's Drag Race Season 12 next year. All Stars Season 5 is also about to hit the small screens, although it is also yet to be announced.
There are rumors Ru has chosen the new contenders for All Stars Season 5, and there are hearsays familiar faces will be seen. Season 1's Ongina, Season 6's Darienne Lake, and Season 10's Miz Cracker, Blair St. Clair, and Asia O'Hara may all appear.
Meanwhile, although VH1 has yet to announce RuPaul's Drag Race Season 12, there are predictions on when it will be out. The show has been following a predictable schedule, so it is not that hard to assume when it will hit the small screens.
The television series previous seasons are usually out in January, February, or March, and end in May or June. So, RuPaul's Drag Race Season 12 may be out in the same months in 2020.
