The final season of Elementary is finally upon us, but the show's new villain has yet to make an appearance. Luckily, it has been confirmed that Odin Reichenbach will finally debut in Elementary Season 7 Episode 5 later this month.
But what does Odin have in store for Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Joan Watson? There are speculations that the baddie will find a way to manipulate the partners and drive them apart.
The seventh season of Elementary has certainly been a difficult one for Holmes and Watson. Although they are now working at Scotland Yard, Watson has been missing New York.
While the partners are expected to return to New York in the third episode, they are set to meet their new adversary in Elementary Season 7 Episode 5. But what is in store for Watson and Holmes when Odin Reichenbach finally shows up?
Odin Reichenbach's debut has been teased for some time, but the character has not yet been introduced in the seventh season. Luckily, the character is set to show up in Elementary Season 7 Episode 5 which is titled 'Into The Woods'.
Interestingly, the description for the episode confirms that Odin will be calling on Holmes and Watson. On the other hand, the new case might be so much more than it seems.
"Tech billionaire Odin Reichenbach (James Frain) hires Holmes and Watson to investigate a personal threat he suspects originated from within his own company.
Also, Holmes and Watson search for a motive behind three seemingly unconnected murders, on Elementary, Thursday, June 20 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network," the description reads.
The show's final season certainly isn't playing around considering that James Frain has been cast as Odin. After all, the English actor is known for his villainous roles as Theo Galavan/Azrael in Gotham as well as Eric Renard in Grimm.
There is little doubt that Odin will be up to no good in the final season of Elementary. But will he be a better baddie than Jamie Moriarty?
It's no secret that Moriarty still the best villain on the series considering that she operated on a personal level for Holmes. Additionally, she is portrayed by former Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer.
Although it's unlikely that Odin will inflict as much damage in the series, he could be the one who could finally drive Holmes and Watson apart.
Elementary Season 7 airs on CBS every Thursday nights.
