Former PRISTIN members will be sure to make their fans happy as they eye a reunion under a different agency and name. This development comes at the heels of Pledis Entertainment's decision to disband the Kpop group only two years after their debut.

According to a report by All Kpop, a source revealed that the seven PRISTIN members who terminated their contracts with Pledis Entertainment -- Nayoung, Roa, Yuha, Eunwoo, Rena, Xiyeon, and Kyla will be signing on to a different label and will work together as a Kpop group with a different name.

Not much information is available about the former PRISTIN members, but it is expected that Nayeon will be the leader when the group makes their re-debut.

It can be recalled that last May 28, the decision was made mutually by members of the group and Pledis Entertainment since seven PRISTIN members have opted to terminate their exclusive contract with the agency and only three members -- Kyulkyung, Yehana, and Sungyeon, were choosing to stay.

In Pledis Entertainment's statement, they disclosed that the disbandment was not an easy decision to make as lengthy discussions were explored before the seven PRISTIN were eventually allowed to terminate their exclusive contracts with the agency to pursue their opportunities elsewhere, a report said.

The agency also apologized to PRISTIN fans for worrying them for a long time because it took a while for a decision to be reached with finality.

The statement revealed that the remaining PRISTIN members who will stay with Pledis Entertainment -- Kyulkyung, Yehana, and Sungyeon, were going to be groomed as individual artists. Pledis assured that the agency would take good care of them as they pursue their solo careers.

"As for the PRISTIN members who'll be leaving our agency, we'd like to express our deep gratitude to them and sincerely support them on their new paths though their contracts with us have ended," the statement read.

It has earlier been speculated that PRISTIN will be disbanded after Kyla' extended hiatus since October 2017, which was only a few months after the group debuted. A sub-unit PRISTIN V was subsequently introduced in 2018. Pristin V is made up of Nayoung, Roa, Eunwoo, Rena and Kyulkyung and released a mini album Like a V featuring songs Get It and Spotlight.

Fans on the threads were relieved over the news and expressed happiness that something positive would at least come out of PRISTIN's disbandment. They also expressed hope that Pledis will manage the remaining members better.
