Wentworth Season 7 is now three episodes deep, but what is about to happen is still under lock and key. The new season is said to be the best among the rest, so fans are more intrigued by what it has in store for them.
In an interview with Kate Atkinson, who plays the role of Vera Bennett, she tried her best not to spill anything to Adelaide Now. "I can tell you nothing," she said. "I can tell you very little but just when you think these writers cannot jam any more into an episode, they do."
Writers do their best to make Wentworth Season 7 as unpredictable as possible. Just when everyone thinks a certain character's storyline already ends, an unexpected twist is about to happen.
However, Atkinson revealed she has yet to see an end date to the series. Ahead of Season 7's release, Foxtel renews the show for Season 8. There are even rumors the current season will be the end of the lead stars' life in the correction, but it causes outrage among dedicated fans.
Atkinson revealed filming Wentworth Season 7 was both mentally taxing and physically challenging for her. As it picked up the events from the previous season finale, she is now bearing a child, so she has to wear a prosthetic belly.
Bernie Curry, on the other hand, is wishing fans will start to love his character as Jake in Wentworth Season 7. As he is about to be a father to Vera's kid, he wants viewers to start rooting for him. He will try his best to redeem himself in Vera's eyes and prove that he can be responsible and love their child.
"There are going to be some heart wrenching, and warming, moments," Curry said. "You can see he is really trying."
However, either Curry or Atkinson can confirm if the lead stars, along with the new additions David De Lautour, who plays as Dr. Greg Miller, and Rick Donald, who portrays as Sean Brody, will survive Wentworth Season 7. As the show still has eight episodes to reveal, it will still take a little while before fans see what is in store for everyone.
Meanwhile, fans are now waiting for Wentworth Season 7 to be released on Netflix. The show's first six seasons are now streaming on the platform, but it may still take a while before the new installment comes, Decider noted.
Wentworth Season 7 hit the small screens on May 28. Although no official release date for Netflix has been announced yet, if it follows the previous seasons' schedule, it may be out a day after its season finale airs in Australia. So, it should be in August.
