Chinese supermodel and actress Lin Chiling, 44, officially announced her marriage with her boyfriend Japanese boyband Exile member Akira, 37, on all her social media accounts on June 6.

Lin Chiling and Akira met each other in 2011 when they acted together in a stage drama titled "Red Cliff", and remained friends. However, they started their relationship in 2018.

"With love and courage, I got married. The love and support everyone has given me all along makes me feel really blessed. To every dearest one of you, let us be happy together.(Translation)" Lin said on her Instagram account, attaching a photo of the two.

Lin's work studio also released a marriage statement saying the newlyweds have not decided if they will hold a wedding banquet.

Meanwhile, Akira wrote on his Instagram account, "I am excited to announce that on June 6th, I married Lin Chi-ling, the Taiwanese actress, with whom I have had a long-standing friendship."

 "I felt strongly that I want her to be my partner in life as we see our true selves in each other......I was strongly attracted to her sense of responsibility and caring nature." Akira explained.
