It looks like Sarge (Clark Gregg), Phil Coulson's doppelganger, is not the main villain of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 after all. Sarge arrived on Earth for the returning character Deke (Jeff Ward), but it looks like they should eye the new enemy instead that is about to bring chaos.

Sarge went to Earth with Snowflake (Brooke Williams), Jaco (Winston James Francis), and Pax (Matt O'Leary). He showed his evilness when he killed Agent Fox (Levi Meaden), but his real intention was different from what it seemed.

Sarge and his team were looking for a man named Harold Simcoe (Phil Abrams) in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6. When they saw him, Sarge stabbed him in the chest when Harold started to release "spiky protrusions." When Benson (Barry Shabaka Henley) autopsied his body, he found a parasite that looked like a black alien bird.

The parasite managed to escape and transferred to Agent Keller (Lucas Bryant). It transformed him from the inside that he, too, started to release spikes. It stopped when Yo-Yo (Natalia Cordova-Buckle) stabbed him with the same knife Sarge used on Harold.

According to Screen Rant, the parasite may be the real villain in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 and not Sarge. However, it remains to be seen why Sarge's group thinks Deke is the target. His team and agents seem to have one common enemy, and that is the alien black bird.

Meanwhile, Deke is back on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6. He is now a startup entrepreneur that earns from ideas he copied from S.H.I.E.L.D. and from the future. He now managed to live a modern life, but things got complicated when Sarge and Team S.H.I.E.L.D arrived. Would he join the team or choose to work independently?

In an interview with Hypable, Ward revealed Deke is still figuring it out if he would join the team, thinking he didn't belong to the group. "I think specifically that Deke spends the rest of the season figuring out his place in the team, or whether it's with the team at all, or on his own," he said.

Ward continued to say Deke would be spending more time with the group in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D Season 6 to see what would be its outcome. From there, he would decide if he would join the team or work alone. The upcoming Episode 5, "The Other Things," will be out on Friday, June 14, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
