There is certainly a lot of mystery in the next episode of The InBetween as Cassie Bedford continues to learn new things about her own psychic abilities. After all, Cassie is about to somehow meet Damien Asante's comatose fiancee behind Detective Tom Hackett's back. This, in itself, should provide enough drama in 'Where The Shadows Fall'. However, it looks like Cassie will stumble upon what could be a real Angel of Death in The InBetween Episode 3.
In the second episode 'Made of Stone', the team celebrated their win by having drinks at the bar where Cassie works. After Hackett leaves, Cassie had a vision of Asante with the woman she had seen in the pilot episode. After talking to Asante, she discovers that the woman is actually Sally, the detective's fiancee who fell into a coma after she suffered from an undiagnosed infection of bacterial meningitis. Not surprisingly, Cassie immediately tells Asante she can help reach out to Sally in the woman's current state.
Asante is eager to get some help but he also has his reservations. He doesn't want Hackett to know about their plan because he believes it will change his partner's perception of him. It may seem like The InBetween Episode 3 will be all about how Cassie helps Sally recover from her coma. Unfortunately, the description for 'Where The Shadows Fall' suggests there is more to next week's episode and it could be downright terrifying.
What can we look forward to in The InBetween Episode 3? The official synopsis for 'Where The Shadows Fall' reads as follows:
"Cassie (Harriet Dyer) visits the hospital where Damian's (Justin Cornwell) fiancée is being treated and encounters the spirit of a young boy who needs her help. Her efforts to unravel the mystery of his death, and why he is trapped in the InBetween, lead her to world of spirits that might be more than she can handle."
If it sounds bad, it actually gets worst. The preview for the upcoming episode hints at Cassie getting into some trouble as she encounters several spirits at the same time. Could one of these ghosts actually be the sinister force that is keeping the other spirits in the hospital? Is it time for Cassie to meet an actual Angel of Death?
