On the June 11 installment of 'Video Star', Block B's U-Kwon revealed that he plans to marry his 8 years girlfriend and model Jeon Sun Hye, however, he still could not decide to get married before or after entering the military.

U-Kwon said, “I was planning to get married before I enter the military. Before the revision of the military service law, you could go at the age of 30, so there was enough time. I thought I could settle down safely before joining the military, so I planned to get married.”

"But now I have to go next year as the military service law changed. I am really worried about whether I should get married before or after I go to the military," U-Kwon continued.

U-Kwon sent a video message to Jeon Sun Hye, saying, "I think I have a lot of things to be sorry for the past 8 years until now. I think I'm going to feel apologetic once again because of the military issues. Trust me and watch me because I'll do my best, so that we'll stick together. Sun Hye, I love you."

When U-Kwon called Jeon Sun Hye on the show, Jeon Sun Hye assured him, “Don’t worry too much. I’ll be there for you, so let’s just date and be in love like now,” bringing touched tears to his eyes.

U-Kwon announced his relationship with Jeon Sun Hye to public in 2012.

The star and other guests, including Gong Hyun Joo, Kwak Jeong Eun, Seo Yuri, and Kang Tae Sung, also talked about what happened when their relationship went public.

He revealed the reason why he make his dating news public, “I was 21 years old at the time. I don’t know if I was innocent or stupid. Fans always say to tell them honestly if you’re dating.”

But later U-Kwon knew that fans did not really mean it, saying, “I believed what my fans said. At that time, the news of Sunye’s wedding came out. That’s why I revealed [my relationship] on my fan cafe.”

U-Kwon also shared his members’ reactions, “I was at the dorm, and Park Kyung closed the door angrily. He asked me how I could do this on my own without consulting them.”

He felt regretful,“I should’ve at least discussed it with them before revealing it. I felt really bad about it.”

When asked if he didn’t get in trouble with his agency, U-Kwon said, “My agency knew nothing about it, but after my fans commented on the site and sent mail to them, so they found out about it right away. So, an hour later, they deleted the post on the fan cafe and called me over to a restaurant in front of the agency.” He added, “But it became a big topic, and they saw it in a positive light, so they told me to date as much as I want.”
