CBS' hit series Elementary is now four episodes deep in its seventh season. But while it's still too early to conclude several things about the plot, the previous episodes already dropped tons of bombs that surprised a lot of people.
This is only fitting though considering that Season 7 is already the final season. Even so, the latest revelations still shocked the fans and viewers of the show.
In the course of the first four episodes of Elementary Season 7, a surprising attack on Sherlock and Watson's inner circle happened. Gregson was shot and the partners cannot fathom at first who would do such a thing.
Of course, there were external issues and cases that need resolving to which they faithfully attended. But the main plot lies in Gregson's unknown shooter. And this is where it gets more interesting.
Apparently, the new and final season's ultimate villain has not been introduced or named yet during the first four episodes of Elementary Season 7. But it looks like that the upcoming installment will now take things much forward as a new character will arrive.
According to Cartermatt, the famous English actor, James Frain, will now join the cast of the series and play the role of Odin Reichenbach, who happens to be tech billionaire guy in the series. And by looking at the official synopsis of the upcoming episode titled, Into The Woods, he will hire Sherlock and Dr. Joan to investigate a personal threat.
Before the premiere of the final season, it has been already hinted that the Gotham star, James Frain, will play a role in the series who will be the biggest adversary of Sherlock and Dr. Joan. Accordingly, many of the fans are now speculating that he might be a better enemy than the infamous Moriarty who was apparently played by Game of Thrones star, Natalie Dormer.
Even so, these things remain as merely probable causes considering that no one knows Odin's character yet. But surely, the following episodes will further unveil what this new big bad has to offer to Sherlock and Watson.
But of course, he will definitely come in the night when everyone is asleep as per On The Flix. And this only makes sense why he would initially come to Sherlock and Watson, and ask for their help.
Elementary Season 7 Episode 5 titled, Into The Woods, will premiere on June 20, on CBS.
