On June 6, USA Network's Queen of the South has returned for its fourth season. And based on the recent events, it seemingly appears that Teresa might face more authoritative people in the new installment.
Upon her arrival in New Orleans, it already offered a lot of opportunities and struggles. But of course, she remained firm to her principles and goals. And eventually, her business will definitely expand in the area as she proves herself to a smuggler in the season premiere.
Aside from these things that interestingly happened in the fourth season premiere of Queen of the South titled, Bienvenidos a Nueva Orleans (Welcome to New Orleans), the first episode already foreshadowed a few things that will happen in the upcoming episodes.
If you would recall, Teresa and Judge Lafayette had a quick conversation about roses and its horticulture processes. While it may be subtle at first, Teresa immediately learned that this is apparently his way of threatening her. USA Network also revealed that this judge will be huge trouble this season.
This is not really surprising at all. In fact, people from power and authority have been already known to threaten Teresa and her empire ever since the first seasons of the show premiered on the network. And right now, this storyline will further be elaborated as the upcoming episode will feature a yet unnamed judge who would want a deal with the queen.
According to Cartematt, Queen of the South Season 4 Episode 3 titled, Hospitalidad Sureña (Southern Hospitality), will force Teresa to let a few people have a cut from her business, especially that this is New Orleans now. And it looks like that Judge Lafayette will be the one who would do this to her.
As to how Teresa will respond to the threats and supposed deals, there are no clear indications yet whether she'll agree or not. But even so, there is a huge chance that she might, for now, just to plan ahead and ultimately defeat her enemies.
On another note, Queen of the South Season 4 has not yet arrived on Netflix. But according to What's On Netflix, the new season might be available on the platform come June of 2020.
Even so, fans can still get to watch the new season every week on USA Network. And the upcoming episode titled, Hospitalidad Sureña (Southern Hospitality), is set to premiere on June 27.
