The long wait is almost over for Taylor Swift's new album, Lover. Just a few days ago, the pop artist finally revealed the name of her seventh album, along with the title of the second single. And in just a matter of a few hours, You Need To Calm Down was released and it immediately caught the attention of many.
While the majority of the Swifties fandom rejoiced, alongside the LGBTQ+ community as the single aims to be an anthem for the clique, a lot of people were quite disappointed with Taylor Swift's new music. In fact, You Need To Calm Down also obtained a lot of criticisms from the industry. But even so, the artist has remained silent and continued the hype for the upcoming music video of her new single.
As it happens, the music video of You Need To Calm Down will be released on Monday. And according to Billboard, the pop artist wanted the music video to be a "separate discovery," which is why she initially released the track before the music video.
But of course, Taylor Swift also released a few hints about the upcoming video which are done through a series of Instagram posts. And based on the photos, it seemingly appears that Taylor will remain faithful to her colorful pastel theme in respect to her seventh album.
Some of the subjects of these photos include colorful candy sprinkles, colorful sequinced-gown, a crown, and a tea party. And with these subjects at hand, it is quite safe to assume that the new video will definitely be colorful and light.
On another note, there are rumors recently that the upcoming music video will show Taylor Swift and Katy Perry kissing in a scene as shared by People. This actually caused a quick commotion on social media since many of the fans reacted negatively if in case this will truly happen.
But Taylor swiftly debunked all these rumors and asked everyone to "calm down." And it seems that she has been using a lot of wordplays to further market her new single. Accordingly, a lot of people are now asking if there will also be a set of Easter eggs on the new music video. But it looks like all things are now on the table, so probably, there will be no more of these games when the music video arrives on Monday.
Even so, Taylor Swift is well-known for her surprises. So, no one can know for sure. And the best way to confirm such speculations is to actually wait for further notice.
