There's going to be another party on Big Little Lies season 2 episode 4 on HBO. But amid the celebration, it seems that a key figure has finally figured out the big secret in the upcoming episode titled "She Knows."
The preview of Big Little Lies season 2 episode 4 suggests that Detective Quinlan (played by Merrin Dungey) may have already learned the truth about the night Perry died. She's been closely watching the women of Monterey 5, and it looks like she has set her sights on Bonnie (played by Zoe Kravitz), who was the person who pushed Perry to his death.
Detective Quinlan had almost given up on this case when she hit a dead end with her investigations. But Perry's mom, Mary Louise (played by Meryl Streep), gave the police a visit in Big Little Lies season 2 episode 3.
Previously, Mary Louise uncovered her son's domestic issues and learned that while he was still alive, Perry beat his wife Celeste (played by Nicole Kidman) and violated Jane (played by Shailene Woodley). Mary Louise also knew that Celeste planned to leave Perry on that night he had his "accident."
The prying mother seemed to suggest to the police that Celeste had a motive to kill her son because he had been a bad husband. However, it looks like Detective Quinlan has done her homework right and have turned her attention to Bonnie.
Meanwhile, the preview also indicated that all might not be well between Celeste and Jane. In the preview video, Celeste voice can be heard saying that she has let someone she trusted into her life only to be disappointed by the betrayal. What new secret has Celeste likely discovered about Jane?
With only a few more episodes left, Big Little Lies season 2 is headed for an explosive finish. Amid several fan theories, one stood out from She Knows, which implied that Bonnie might die by drowning.
While everyone has been consumed by guilt over what happened, Bonnie has been carrying the burden more than anyone of the ladies. It's likely that she's going to harm herself due to her depression, but other fan theories suggest one of the women might drown Mary Louise instead.
Big Little Lies season 2 will run for 10 episodes on HBO.
