Jungkook is the youngest member of BTS, so he must be the less savage of the group, right? Wrong. The 21-year-old singer, songwriter, and record producer is not one to shy away from sharing his thoughts. He's so vocal that he didn’t even care to mock their group’s leader RM.
In Episode 77 of Run BTS!, teams Seokjin Kim and Kim Seokjin faced off in a series of games. One of these games was to draw pictures of food using blow pens. Just like most games, some members excelled at it more than others.
Jungkook and RM were on the same team. Being the competitive person that he is, Jungkook wanted to win so bad that he had to go out of his way to help RM with the pen when he didn’t know how to use it. “What the heck are you doing?” Jungkook asked the BTS leader as he ran up to him and taught him the right way to use the blow pen.
When RM finally started drawing, he got off to a rough start by destroying the easel stand. After getting the hang of it, RM and his team were successful during his round.
But as time ran out, Jungkook felt the pressure, with Jin reminding them that they only have 30 seconds left in the round. As expected, Jungkook’s competitiveness got the better of him.
Jungkook and Suga repeatedly failed in guessing RM’s picture correctly; the golden maknae then blamed it on RM’s drawing skills. “Are you doing your best? Is it the best you can?” he asked, seemingly implying that RM’s drawing is not that good.
While it seems like RM just couldn’t catch a break from the very competitive Jungkook, the 24-year-old rapper, songwriter, and record producer got love from V. Despite being on different teams, V encouraged RM to keep going. “Don’t give up,” V said.
V and Jungkook are both artists, but they prove that great minds don’t always think alike. It’s more on how they approach things. Jungkook takes things very seriously and would always prefer to win in any circumstances. V, on the other hand, is more relaxed and not as competitive.
This doesn’t mean that Jungkook doesn’t support his members; he loves them and respects them. He just has a savage way to show it.
