Bachelor in Paradise season 6 is gearing up for its launch this August on ABC. Reports reveal that, for the first time on the show, a same-sex couple will be featured in this dating reality TV show.

According to Reality Steve in several posts on Twitter, filming finished for Bachelor in Paradise season 6 in Mexico the other week. The fan site confirmed that there was at least one engagement after production wrapped up.

Demi Burnett, the bachelorette during Colton Underwood's season in The Bachelor, came back to America as engaged and committed to another participant in Bachelor in Paradise season 6 named Kristian Haggerty.

While Kristian, a gorgeous blonde beauty, has never appeared in any of the Bachelor franchise, she will be in Bachelor in Paradise season 6. The report also stated that this all part of a major plot twist that ABC has been planning all along for this new season.

Meanwhile, the contestants of Bachelor in Paradise season 6 were earlier confirmed on the network. Aside from Burnett, the show will have Annaliese Puccini, Bibiana Julian, Blake Hortsmann, Caelyn Miller-Keyes, Cam Ayala, Chris Bukowski, Clay Harbor, Derek Peth, Hannah Godwin, Jane Averbukh, John Paul Jones, Katie Morton, Kevin Fortenberry, Nicole Lopez-Alvar, Onyeka Ehie, Sydney Lotuaco, Tayshia Adams and Wills Reid, per Accept This Rose

All of these reality TV stars are familiar to viewers of the franchise because Bachelor in Paradise brings back interesting contestants from the previous seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. This time, however, the contestants have to pick out their ideal mate from the group, and in the first ceremony, six men will be giving roses to six women to signify their interest. The ones without roses will then go home.

Meanwhile, there have also been speculations that Connor Saeli from the current season of The Bachelorette will be in Bachelor in Paradise season 6. He has not yet been officially announced and will likely be introduced as part of the twist.

Rumors also say that viewers should watch out for Blake as he is going to be this season's villain. He will be enjoying his time between many women in Bachelor in Paradise season 6; thus, creating a lot of relationship drama and tension.

Bachelor in Paradise season 6 will premiere this coming Aug. 5 at 8:00 p.m. on ABC. The summer guilty pleasure will also feature the marriage of former contestants Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson, which will take place in Mexico. Host Chris Harrison will be at their special event.
