Are Al (played by Maggie Grace) and Isabelle (played by Sydney Lemmon) the new couple on Fear the Walking Dead season 5? They used to be on opposing sides, but they ended up kissing each other at the end of the most recent episode.
Isabelle is part of the group that kidnapped and separated Al from her friends. She was the helicopter pilot of the secret organization that Al's group has yet to investigate truly.
When things got tense between the two groups, as her friends have been planning her rescue, Al and Isabelle ended up forming a special bond. Viewers of Fear the Walking Dead season 5 were surprised that the two exchanged kisses.
Speaking with TV Insider, Grace discussed how Fear the Walking Dead ended up with this storyline for Al. She said that she was pleased that Al got a romantic storyline despite what has been happening in this post-zombie outbreak world.
"There were a couple of different drafts, and I'm glad they went with that one. It felt right," the actress said. "That moment was really special to me because it feels like they're both acknowledging the lives they could've had."
Isabelle told her in Fear the Walking Dead season 5 that she and her group have been working to build a better society. But once Al is expected to be reunited with her old friends in the next episode, will she consider telling them that they should become part of this new society too?
Meanwhile, Isabelle has told her group over the radio that she's returning to base with the payload. She took the Bog tape that Al had been carrying, which was what her group needed, as per TV Line.
It should be recalled that this is the same group that also took Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) in The Walking Dead last season. Fans of both franchises assume that the character will be appearing in Fear the Walking Dead to tie the show for the upcoming TV movies.
According to Daily Express, actor Ruben Blades (as Daniel Salazar) hopes that Fear the Walking Dead season 5 would have a Rick storyline. He believes that if there's anyone that the character has to encounter from their group, then it would have to be Al.
