The drama inside Casa Amor continues in Love Island Season 5 Episode 38. As the turn of events gets intense every minute, with the recent exit of Amy Hart, its US version is now out to bring the fun to American viewers.
The show is now on its fifth week and 37 episodes deep. As the search for love continues, some may win it while others lose it, just like Amy.
According to The Sun, Amy left Love Island Season 5 after experiencing a serious heartbreak over Curtis Pritchard. The former air stewardess told the show's producers she wanted to leave the villa after her split from the ballroom dancer.
Amy learned that Curtis tried to couple up with Jourdan. He even admitted that he only went back to Amy after Jourdan rejected him.
It couldn't be denied that Amy already fell in love with Curtis. She even confessed about it, which made her feel devastated about the situation.
But after dumping him, she then saw him flirting with Maura instantly. Amy is now receiving additional therapy from Love Island Season 5's wellbeing team with the heartbreak she is suffering after leaving the villa.
Meanwhile, Love Island finally comes to the US via CBS. Just like the ITV2 version, it will also air every weeknight until it comes to an end on Aug. 7, per the New York Times.
Compared to American dating shows, Love Island features a lot of partner swapping or re-coupling. Several single people, called Islanders, will spend the summer together, paired with others as couples. The show will then set up twists and turns to see who will survive and remain as a pair until the end.
There will be new contestants coming in the villa, and public votes also count to bring uncoupled contestants on a date. There will be break ups, and former couples have to stay together in one roof.
Caroline Flack hosted Love Island Season 5 with Iain Stirling as its narrator. However, it remains to be seen who will narrate the US version, but Arielle Vandenberg will be its host.
But unlike the UK version, the US one will be G-rated. "We have to conform to broadcast standards, so what happens with language and - to some extent - what we see visually will be a little different because of the platform we're on," Producer David Eilenberg told Entertainment Weekly.
Love Island Season 5 Episode 38 will be out in the UK on Wednesday, July 10, on ITV2. The US version, on the other hand, started on Tuesday, July 9, on CBS.
